Franklin Dexter Terry, Sr.

Franklin Dexter Terry, Sr., 79, of Hardy, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was born on August 8, 1938 in Christiansburg, VA. He was a son of the late Cecil Dexter Terry and Hallie Marie Shepherd Terry.

 

Frank served his country in the United States Army. He loved the outdoors, doing work around his home and going fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He retired from American General Finance.

 

Frank is survived by two children, Mitzi Marcinak and her husband, Larry and Frank Terry, Jr. and his wife, Angela; four grandchildren, Nichole Pettrey, Daniel Marcinak, Hallie Terry and Alec Terry; one great-grandchild, Athena Marcinak; one brother, Calvin Terry and his wife, Sherry; one nephew, Sean Terry; one niece, Melissa Gunnoe and husband, Dale, also numerous other family and friends.

A graveside service and celebration of Frank’s life will be conducted on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 am at Roselawn Memorial gardens in Christiansburg, VA.
