Franklin Junior Carr

Franklin Junior Carr, 85, of Evington, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014. He was the husband of the late Shirley Adams Carr.

Born Wednesday, February 06, 1929 in Lynchburg, Buck was a son of the late Jim W. Carr and the late Madie West Carr.

In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by a son: Dennis (BoBo) Carr, a daughter: Rhonda Lynn Carr three brothers: Edward, Lloyd, J.T. and five sisters: Christine Pritchett, Thelma Bates, Edith Shephard, Lillie Mae Cox, and Linda Foster.

Buck is survived by two daughters: Lisa Carr Sowell and her husband, Tim, of Evington and Denise Carr and her husband, Roy, of Forest; a brother, Warren Carr and his wife, Diane, of Lynchburg, a sister, Erlene Puckett, of Lynchburg, three grandsons: William “Hank” Carr, of Forest, T.J. Sowell and his wife, Katie, of Walled Lake, MI, and Justin Carr, of Forest; two granddaughters: Aaliyah Carr, of Forest, and Jorden Carr, of Lynchburg, a host of nieces and nephews, and his pet cat, Shadow.

Buck proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. He was the former owner of Carr
