Fred C. Leftwich, 80, of Amherst, VA, departed this life November 7, 2016 at his residence.
Born January 16, 1936. He was the son of the late Alphonso and Alberta Leftwich. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara and a daughter Lisa Vaughan.
He is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Leftwich, son LC (Nancy), two grandsons, Lamar Leftwich and Denzel Hood; two sisters, Sally Love and Hazel Rucker; two brothers, Wilson Leftwich and Alphonso Leftwich Jr. (Sadie), and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family will be receiving friends at his home 597 Slapp Creek Rd. Amherst, VA.
A funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 12, 2016, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 118 Commonwealth Drive, Madison Heights, VA.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
