Betty Jean Leonard Hudson, 84, of Goode passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021.

Born December 14, 1936 Betty was a daughter of the late Estol F. Leonard and Garnetta Keesee Leonard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lee Hudson Jr.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Loretta Wright and Hugh, and Sherry Rice and Ralph; stepdaughter, Suzanne Thornsburg and Terry; grandchildren, Jr. Wright, Melinda Rodney, Sawyer Rice, Eddie Rice, and Tiffany Rice; seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sister, Estelle Broch; brother-in-law, Danny Hudson, and sister-in-law Mary Lou Coffee.

A visitation will be held at Norwood Baptist Church on Sunday, May 30, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Sam Stump officiating. Burial will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.

 Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.

A visitation will be held at Norwood Baptist Church on Sunday, May 30, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Sam Stump officiating. Burial will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
