Cameron Andre Kinney

August 7, 1975 - August 16, 2023

Cameron Andre “Boonie Change” Kinney, of Madison Heights, Virginia, left this world, his heartache, suffering, and pain, and gained rest and peace with his Heavenly Father on August 16, 2023. He was born on August 7, 1975, to Gerald and Doris Kinney. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, James and Dorothy Woodson and Robert and Virginia Patillo. Cameron, a lover of life, all it had to give, and everything about it. He found the love of his life in football, playing with the Monelison Bruins, where he learned to “bob and weave on the field of green.” Coached by the best, he excelled and developed a style all his own, then there was J.V. and High School ball, where he honed his skills and mastered them even more. He was not good, but he was great at it, using all of the coaching techniques he learned from Coach Wayne Cocke, Buck Lithford, and Bobby Campbell. They made him the best he could be. He even received the Paul Goff Award. What an Honor. Now, his special love was racing. The “top dog” of the list. This is where IN THE BLOOD RACING stood out with him, his brothers, plus Dad. This is where he shined. The greatest thing he’d ever accomplished. He loved it!

In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory, four brothers; G.D. (Alivia), and Mike (Courtney), of Roanoke, VA. Carlos (SieAng), of Melbourne Australia, and Jeffery Vaughter (Robin), of Lynchburg, VA. He also leaves to cherish his memories, his loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Scott Zion Baptist Church, Madison Heights, Va.
