Carol Anne Moneymaker

September 22, 1964 - September 29, 2021

Carol Anne Moneymaker, 57, of Lynchburg Va. passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. She was the wife of Roger Lane of Lynchburg.

Born September 22, 1964, Carol was the daughter of the late Bonnie Elizabeth Powell Markham and Edgar Hughie Robertson.

She retired from Home Recovery Home Aid where she was employed for the last 5 years until health issues last year.

In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her son Bryan Glen Robertson of Lynchburg; daughter Laura Anne Moneymaker and spouse, Bryan O’Dell, of Amherst; four grandchildren Sarah Elizabeth Blankenship, Lucille Grace Blankenship, Isaac Lyle Blankenship, and Anna Rose O’Dell; sister Sandra Robertson Griffith of Madison Heights; niece Jennifer Lynn Griffith; nephew Jason Lee Griffith; step grandfather Jimmy Williamson; and two adopted daughters Jaleesa La’Nay Scott and Sara Kline.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Lyle Bernard Moneymaker; brother Edward Jackson Robertson; grandson Elijah Wylie Blankenship; and nephew James Lee Griffith, Jr.

If you look in the dictionary next to kindhearted people you should see a picture of Carol Anne Moneymaker. Her personality was truly so altruistic in nature that she would literally give you the shirt off her own back if you needed it. Or find you one in a yard sale just like it if you wanted it. Her favorite part of life was helping others in any way she could. She was an extremely hard-working woman that raised two kids largely on her own. She worked as a CNA until it was literally not physically possible anymore. Carol was truly one of the sweetest people you could meet and a very sarcastic, outgoing, person all at the same time. She also didn’t care how you had crossed her previously or if you hadn’t spoken in 15 years, once you befriended Carol it was for life. Unless you harmed her children or grandchildren because she was a fierce Mama Bear when necessary. While above it lists direct family it truly needs to be said that Carol had many people who called her Mama and Granny. She will forever be Mama to many people who needed someone to be comfortable around and caring in their time of need. Her life was definitely one worth celebrating, her joyous reunion occurring in heaven right now is cause for great celebration as well.
