Cathy Ann Reeves Dawson
Cathy Ann Reeves Dawson, 64, of Lynchburg, VA, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She was the loving wife of Donnie Lee Dawson for 27 years.
Cathy was born Sunday, January 13, 1957, in Lynchburg, VA a daughter of the late David Chambers and the late Julia Reeves Chambers. She was a member of Christ Temple Bible Way and spent many years as a caregiver for others.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kashanti Dawson, Kashawn Dawson, Kijiah Green, Kecianna Green, and Heather Bolen; her grandchildren, Shanyia Bolen and Ta’leyia Turner; her brothers, Danny Reeves (Patricia), Michael A. Chambers, Sr. (Anita), and David Chambers (Chavon); her sister, Mary R. Langford; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Franklin; her sisters-in-law, Gloria Rucker, and Frances Dawson; her brother-in-law, Frank Dawson (Frances); her devoted friend, Robbie MacLauchlan; and a host of friends and family.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2021, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Elder Carl Saunders officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Thompson Trucking for their support and to Cathy’s hospice team for the care they provided during this time.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
