Clarence Poe

Clarence “Billy” Poe Sr., 83, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on August 7, 2023. He was the son of the late John R. Poe and Madeline Poe, and the husband of the late Nancy Poe, of 60 years.

Billy was born March 26, 1940 in Lynchburg, VA.  He was a retired carpenter and loved working with wood, listening to music and spending time with his family. In his younger days, he wrote poems and songs.

Billy is survived by his sons; Clarence Poe Jr (Lisa), Stephen Poe (Donna), Christopher Poe; daughters; Jamie Hardy (Ryan), Joyce Poe; 7 grand-children; and 5 great grand-children

In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by 2 grandsons, Luke Ryder Hardy and Justin Wayne Poe

A one hour visitation will be held on Friday, August 11^th from 6:30pm-7:30pm at Living Water Ministries located at 1071 Waterlick Rd, Lynchburg, VA. A memorial service will immediately follow. Administrative Pastor Gabrielle Gerling will be officiating.

The family would like to receive friends at their residence on Cog Lane. All are welcome to visit throughout the week.
