Curtis James Cassidy
He has left us, and our hearts are broken into, but we have hope, because as our Lord has declared, we can go to him where we will never know separation again.
Curtis James Cassidy, 68, of Lynchburg, Va., passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was born on May 24, 1953, in Providence, N.C., the son of Martha V. Cassidy and the late Raymond T. Cassidy. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Cassidy and Raymond D. Cassidy.
In addition to his loving wife, Opal Cassidy, Curtis is survived by three brothers, Calvin Cassidy, Jack Cassidy (Candy), and David Cassidy (Judy) and sister, LaDonna Hanks (Keith). Curtis is also survived by his four stepchildren, Teresa Hughes (Holcombe), Lynne Elder (Bobby), Guy Hartless, Jr, (Kim), and Darryl Hartless (Anabelle) and five grandchildren, Nicole Miller (Paul), Jessica Hughes, Trey Hughes, D.J. Hartless, and Danielle Hartless. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The service will be at 12:00 PM at Tree of Life Ministries on Saturday, November 13, 2021. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
