I worked at City Hall in Lynchburg for awhile. Rick always delivered our supplies. He was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. He truly adored his family. He’ll be missed.

My condolences to the family. I was Rick's immediate supvisor for 18 years at the Supply Room Co. Never had nothing but outstanding praise all those years that Rick worked for me. I know for a fact that his daughter was life. He loved his church and savior, but his daughter was his inspiration. May our Lord welcome you home.

I met Rick when he delivered supplies to the Dr's office I worked in. We connected talking about our love for Gospel music. However, his favorite subject was his daughter. I enjoyed hearing about him coaching her. Next to his love for God, she was the light in his eyes. He was a great person and will truly be missed by all who knew him.

I knew Rick for years as he delivered supplies to City Hall. He was such a blessing to all who knew him, was so proud of his daughter and all the kids he coached, and just such an example of God's love. I pray for comfort for his daughter and all his family in his loss. We'll all see him and his wonderful smile again one day.

I met Coach Rick at EC Glass when I was the athletic secretary. We had some great conversations and got to appreciate the fact that we both shared a love for Jesus Christ and our church ministries. I was friends with his wife and met his daughter who helped me once at a JV basketball game. What a sweet family! He was a great guy! Praying God’s peace and comfort over the entire family.

I grew up with Ricky in the College Hill area. We went to elementary, middle school and graduated high school the same year in 1986. He was talented, smart and very strong opinionated. He played sports; basketball, football and he could draw very good. This would serve him well in the Army and later in life. I last seen him at the Beacon Basketball Tournament a few years ago where we reconnected. I was moved on how he was giving back to the community through religion, coaching and mentorship. He was a good guy! The community lost a good soldier. RIP Homeboy!! Job Well Done!

Mr.Rick was one of the first people I had the pleasure to get to know when I arrived at Randolph College in Fall 2021. He was always so positive, wise, and hardworking. I will cherish the moments we shared and am thankful we crossed paths. My most sincere condolences go out to Rick's family.
