Doris Jeanne Brannon
Doris Jeanne Brannon, 93, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away peacefully January 11, 2022. She was the loving wife of 66 years of Ray Brannon who preceded her in death in 2014.
She attended Shenandoah Valley Academy boarding school and Morgantown High School. After nurses training, she had a career in nursing for many years.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Rae Brannon.
Doris leaves behind to honor her memory two daughters, Gail Ann Beard and Rhonda C. Ulrich, three grandsons, Andrew Ulrich, Patrick Beard, Gregory Beard, and a great-grandson, Bradley Beard.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, VA is assisting the family.

Dear Gail and Rhonda and families. How sad to see the passing of your mother. I really liked your parents. You should remember me as the Jefferson Co. 4-H Agent. Your Dad did so much for my career. I would call your Mom from time to time to check on her. I have a fond memory of her Dad skiing on his head on Cheat Lake. Great people. Thinking of you. Jim Staley.
