Condolences & Tributes

Celebrate Dr. Thomas's life with a short message, photo or video!

Tom was our vet for many years and employed our son Brandon when he was only 16 years old. Tom was always kind and gentle with our animals. Our son continues to work for a vet and learned much of what he knows about animals from Tom. He is now taking care of animals who have departed this life. Our condolences to the family. May Tom rest in peace.

Dr Nelson was the first vet I ever used. He was always cheerful, funny and compassionate. SW him at my dental office years later, he still remembered me.

I would like to send my condolences to Tom’s entire family. He was a very caring man and I’m sure he is greatly missed. I enjoyed working for him years ago and remaining friends afterward. He was a mainstay in the Lynchburg veterinary community and loved by his clients. Prayers for comfort to his family.

Tom and I came to Lynchburg the same year. He cared for our animals with skill and compassion, and became a good friend. We had mutual interests and spent many enjoyable hours together. I always enjoyed his dry "New York" wit; he was never reluctant to laugh at himself. He was a good man who is greatly missed.
