Dwayne Alphonso Davis
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce that Dwayne Alphonso Davis, of Roanoke, Va. earned his heavenly wings. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was also a passionate chef.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Booker Thomas and Ella Iretha Davis; and his aunt Sadie Leftwich.
He will forever be missed by his parents, Prince and Loretta Thomas; and his devoted loving fiancé and caretaker, Sharon Johnson.
In addition, he is survived by his daughters, Chantel Spinner (Shauntay) and Deshanta Thomas (Damian); his grandchildren Tashawn, Aaliyah, Avrielle, and Aylah; his brothers Prince Thomas, Jr. (Donna) and Ralph Elliott, Jr.; his sister Latasha Edwards (Eric); his aunts Shirely and Trudy Davis; and his immediate cousins Gearldine Cunningham, Gwendolyn (Glenn) Lattir, and Joseph Snead.
He was also blessed with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of Dwayne’s life will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
