Edward Elmo Gaines Sr.
Edward Elmo Gaines Sr., 74, of Madison Heights, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022.
Edward was born on May 22, 1948, to the late Edward William Gaines and Mary Giles Gaines. He is proceeded in death by one daughter, Stacey Gillespie, and one granddaughter, Casey Gaines.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years Florence Gaines; six children: Keith Meade, Edward Gaines Jr, Trevina Love, Travis Gaines, Tyrese Gaines and Sanobra Gaines; and three grandsons Tyler Gaines, Kai Gaines and Brayden Gaines-Love.
A visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 12:30 P.M. at Oak Hill Baptist Church, Roseland, Virginia, with interment in the Church Cemetery.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
