Gale Beatty
Gale Beatty, 58, took her rest peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 7:03 AM at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born May 30, 1965, to John Darby and Ruth Darby and the spouse of Larry Beatty of 34 years.
She was a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. More than she loved people, she loved Jesus and strived every day to live like him and show others his love. Gale was the epitome of strength, endurance, and faith. She was a member of Blue Ridge Community Church. She enjoyed music, family and pouring into her friendships. Her life was an act of worship. She loved her husband, daughter and family immensely. She held many occupations, but her most recent one being an employee of Genworth Financial, where she worked for 18 years until her health declined.
In addition to her husband, Gale is survived by her daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Beatty (Miguel). Her brother, Vendale Darby. Her twin sister, Dale (James) Hubbard, sister Kimberly (Jay) Logan, brother in law, Tony Beatty and sister in law, Lisa Waugh-Harris. Nephews, Darius (Padishia) Logan, Adrien Dexter Harris, niece, Danielle Logan and great-nephews Eli and Judah Logan.
As we mourn her loss, we do so with the intention to celebrate the impact she had on this world. She has left an imprint on this world and has shown us what faith looks like. She was the type of person who chose to see every situation through the lens of Christ. Her family meant more to her than anything. To know her was to truly love her.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Dr. Lynchburg, VA 24502, from 5-8 PM. Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Destiny Christian Fellowship, 615 Perrymont Ave. Lynchburg, VA 24502 at 1 PM.

Gale was such a beautiful soul and she was always smiling (I so loved her smile). I was so very sorry and saddened to hear of her passing, she will be missed. We were blessed and I’m grateful she shared her gift (playing the keyboard) so GOD could get the glory! My deepest condolences to Larry, Lauren, and all who loved her. GOD is faithful!

Mrs Gale was such a kind loving person with the most beautiful smile! She had such a talent for playing anointed music and I was blessed to worship with her. I can't begin to express how sorry I am to hear of the loss of such a beautiful soul! She was well loved and therefore, will be missed greatly. Gale was a beautiful person on the inside and outside; a rare combination. Her infectious smile lit up a room. I am honored to have known such a kind and faith-filled woman, and will cherish the memories I have of her in my heart forever! My dear friend, Larry… keep the memories of Gale alive.
