George L. Jones
George L. Jones, 73, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
He was predeceased by his son, George Jones, Jr., his mother, Bessie Jones Terrell and her husband John Terrell, his maternal grandparents, Irene and Charlie Jones, brother, Charles Jones, sister, Ramona Mickles.
He grew up in Campbell County and went to school in Rustburg. George was very quiet man, a great artist and he retired from Southern Air.
George, leaves to cherish his memory, Geraldine Saunders (Sam), Alphonso Jones (Sandra), all of Lynchburg, Dale Bradley of Rustburg, Francine Jones, and Felicia Terrell of Evington, Kimberly Vaughan (Jauon) of Madison Heights, two aunts, Christine Jefferson, Joyce Berryman, an uncle, Melvin Jones (Shirley) all of Lynchburg, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Jones family would like to thank Lynchburg General Hospital, Guggenheimer Health and Rehab, and Hospice for all wonderful care of George.
A private service will be conducted.

Prayers to George family no more pain George.RIP I work at Daily Bread for years leaving in 2019 . I work weekdays George come down to make coffee when he was off after retiring got see George always had a smile he love making the coffee he never complain weekends he work with my sister Janice helping every weekend George you be miss at Daily Bread . My family Love George. If George was in pain he never complain just kept going. George no more pain miss you RIP
