A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Pastor Jackie Carver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
James W. Tuck
James W. Tuck, of 1162 Candler’s Mountain Road, Rustburg died Monday, February 21, 2022, at the Summit Health and Rehab.
James was born on November 11, 1932, to the late Vernon Jesse “Bunk” and Audrey Walker Tuck. He is preceded in death by his brother Orie Tuck and two daughters Teresa Cooper and Rita Trent.
He is survived by his wife Frances Tuck; his brother, Thomas W. Tuck and wife, Ann ; three sisters-in-law Margaret Nethercutt, Barbara Booth, and husband Jimmy, and Mary Lynch; a special son-in-law John Cooper, and wife Dianne, and three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
James was a veteran, he served in the United States Army. He retired from General Electric with 36 years of service. He loved to hunt, fish, bowl and go camping. He was a member of Community Fellowship Baptist. He also enjoyed going to Florida to watch NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt race.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Pastor Jackie Carver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to thank special caregivers Greg and Lisa Evans.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Community Fellowship Baptist Church.
