Jeffrey David Demers
Jeffrey David Demers, 68, passed away on May 11, 2023, following a long illness. He is survived by his wife (Burgess), siblings Don Demers (Marcia), Barbara Okes (Luke), Janet Shrauger (Kevin) and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Helen Demers, brother Ronald Demers (Marilea), nephew Andre Demers and great-nephew Brandon Keyser.
Jeff worked at First Citizens Bank in Roanoke, VA and served as an adjunct professor at Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke. He was a retired Flotilla Commander in the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 81 at Smith Mountain Lake and a long-time member of the Lynchburg VA Amateur Radio Club.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Kidney Foundation, in honor of his successful kidney transplant in December 1993.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg is assisting the family.
