John “Johnny” Robert Moses Sr, 58 of Lynchburg passed away Wednesday May 24, 2023. He is proceeded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents

Johnny was born Friday October 2, 1964, in Lynchburg VA. A son of the late Robert Yancey Moses and Shirley Reams Moses. Johnny was a great electrician, all around handyman and a good friend to so many.

Johnny is survived by his wife Angela Crouch Moses and son John R Moses Jr. Sister Sherri McCullough (Gary) of NC, Sister-in-Law Judith Crouch of Lynchburg; Nieces Amber Etters (Josh) of NC and Brittany Jordan of NC; Nephews Zach McCullough of NC, Connor McCullough (Jessica) of NC and Gregory Allen Thomas II; three great- Nieces Caroline & Hadleigh Etters of NC and Peyton McCullough of NC; Special Friends Lesa Hall and Berkley “Berk” Cannaday.

Uncle Johnny as many knew him as, will be missed, all his stories, pranks and most importantly his “junk”. One mans junk is another mans treasure.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm Thursday June 1 2023 at Tharp Funeral home Lynchburg. A graveside service will be held in the Chapel Mausoleum at Fort Hill Memorial Park at 2 pm on Friday June 2 2023. Interment will follow service.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg is assisting the family.

I just talked to Johnny at the Marathon couple weeks ago, hugged him, he wanted to know if we still lived same place; me, Regina and kids lived beside Shirley, Johnny, Sherry and Hoss and his family right up the street; we send sympathy to Angie, Amber, and lil Johnny; I am sad about Johnny my friend passing , and we send our love to all of you

Johnny I Love and Miss you more than I can say, You are my best friend , my heart , my soul . My entire world!! I don’t know how I’m going to make it without you by my side ! I will have to be strong because I know that’s what you would say …The only thing that gives me a little peace is knowing You are with your Mom , Shirley .I Love you & know I will see you again .
