With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the passing from this life to the Eternal of our most beloved Kristine (mom-mom) Tomlinson. Kristine Bernice (Brown) Tomlinson, born May 21, 1943, in New Jersey passed away Thursday August 12, 2021. She was surrounded in prayer with her grandchildren as she met our Lord.

Kristine is eternally reunited with her mother (Eva Hartman), father (Harry Hartman), first husband (Walter), husband (Richard), daughter (Colleen), son (Timothy), and grandson (Austin).

She is survived by a son, (Craig), sister, (Beverly), grandchildren, (Jordan, Tyler, Jonathan, and Zachary); four great grandchildren (Kimberlynn, Kenna, Killian, and Kenzleigh), and only cousin, (Mary Lou), and many friends including Jackie and Sheree.

Kristine was a loyal and devoted wife, a loving sister and mother, and kind and steadfast friend. Above all she was an adoring and beloved grandmother and great-grandmother. Kristine celebrated a strong faith in Christ and expressed it openly. She was passionate about animals and nature. She was a loving and caring friend, and her generosity of heart were unparalleled. She was one of the most selfless women we’ve ever known. Kristine spent a lifetime raising children and was the best parent anyone could ask for. Her kind and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In respect of her wishes, no funeral service will be held.  The family will privately celebrate her memory, Sunday August 15.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to her son’s memorial fund.

Dear Family, I just received the news that my dearest friend, Kris, has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior. I am at once heart-broken, and filled with joy! Kris has reached the goal we talked about many times over the past few years via FACEBOOK. May God in His Mercy and Love comfort all of you, strengthen your faith and grant you His peace.

I am so sad. Kristine was Mom Mom to my daughter Ashley from around age 3 till she started preschool and my son, Michael from 6 weeks old till around 2. She took awesome care of them and loved them like they were her own. I often stayed and visited with her before taking them home. She was such a genuine and caring person. Her and Richard came to many a birthday party. Unfortunately, we lost contact over the years. I often thought I should go visit her but never did and now I deeply regret that. I know she is with the Lord and that makes me smile. She is at peace. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.

Kristine (mom-mom) was my grandma. She helped rear me over the years. She taught me a lot of what I know; including to send invitations and thank you notes which I always get complimented on. She helped bring me closer to Jesus. She has always been there for me since day one and we were very close. We talked practically every other day on the phone and daily via text. Whenever I failed myself she always lifted me up. She provided me so much support in many aspects. I respected her so much and will miss her very much. Rest easy Mommom. I hope you’re having a blast pain-free and perfect up there! Tell the rest hello for me!

Kristine was a true friend and I miss her greatly. She loved her family dearly and was a wonderful babysitter to my grandchildren (who loved her & Tim so much). I am sad to lose such a great friend, but I know she is happy to be with her Lord Jesus and her family in heaven.

I am so saddened and heartbroken by this news. Kristine was my son, Andrew's babysitter 31 years ago and she taught him so much. He loved her like a second grandmother. He will be devastated when he hears this news. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family for their loss.

Kristine was a true friend and a wonderful Mother. She and I had so many laughs and tears as we talked for hours. She loved her family so much and was so proud of them. I loved her as a friend and will never forget her. God Bless her and keep her in a special place in heaven.
