Louise Driskill Williams

Louise Driskill Williams, 92, of Lynchburg, VA, died Thursday, August 10, 2023.  She was the loving wife of the late Thomas Watt “Jack” Williams.

Louise was born December 3, 1930, in Campbell County, VA, a daughter of the late Wesley Clarence “Tee” Driskill and Eula Carwile Driskill.

In addition to her husband and parents, Louise was preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred D. Pack (H.E. “Pack”), May Driskill, Nellie D. Maxey (Robert, Sr.), and Dorothy Davis (Wayland); infant sister, Barbara Ann Driskill; and her brother, Edward “Ed” Driskill.

Louise is survived by her son, Thomas Ray Williams (Diane), Gladys, VA; daughters, Sandra W. Lane (Terry), Winston-Salem, NC; and Laura W. Hudnall (Darryl), Rustburg, VA; grandchildren, Matthew Joseph Lane (Julie), Winston-Salem, NC; Andrew Thomas Lane (Lisa), Lexington, NC; Amy Rebekah Phillippe, Hondo, TX; Aaron Jacob Hudnall (Kait), Rustburg, VA; Daniel Thomas Hudnall (Hannah), Forest, VA; great-grandchildren, Glavine, Matthew, Lucas, Katie Grace, Ryley, Khloe, Layla, Everly, and Silas; brothers, Wayne Driskill (Carol), Rustburg, VA; and James B. “Ben” Driskill (Sarah), Rustburg, VA; and sister-in-law, Janice Driskill, Rustburg, VA.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A Celebration of Louise’s life will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with Rev. Sue Keen officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rustburg, VA.
