Manya Joy Daniel
February 17, 1969 – January 24, 2022
Manya was born on February 17, 1969, in Washington D. C., the beloved daughter of Doug and Gloria Daniel. She entered the world two minutes ahead of her twin brother, Monty Daniel.
On January 24, 2022 she gained her angel wings after losing her battle with Covid-19.
Manya grew up in Laurel Maryland and attended the First Baptist Church of Laurel.
In 1986, Manya and her family moved to Forest Virginia where she graduated from Jefferson Forest High School.
She obtained her State and National Pharmacy Technician’s certification. Her career brought her much joy and she found happiness in helping others.
Her love of animals led her to volunteer at the Lynchburg Humane Society where she adopted her faithful companion dog, Tila.
Due to COVID restrictions, a Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Williamsburg, Va., at Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Rd., Lynchburg VA 24502 or to Williamsburg United Methodist Church, “Building on our Legacy” fund, 500 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg VA 23185
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
