Marguerite Reynolds Cottrell

Marguerite Reynolds Cottrell, 83, of Bedford, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Cardinal Senior Living. She was born on January 30, 1940, to the late Roy Maynard Reynolds, and Willie Scott Key Reynolds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, James Charlie Cottrell, and Edward Davis Bowden; brothers, Earl Reynolds, PFC John “Lil Jack” Reynolds, Ray Reynolds, Dean Reynolds; sisters, Doris Wilford, Lois Meador, and Cornelia Reese; nephews, Gorrie “Jr” Lee Meador, Jack Defibaugh, Ronnie Meador and Dennis Meador.

Marguerite was a member of Otterville United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was known for her extraordinary cooking and baking. One of her families’ favorite things was her Pineapple Ice Cream. Marguerite enjoyed traveling going to Hawaii, Texas, and many others. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Walker (Randy), Charlie “Mike” Cottrell (Tammy) and Robbie Dean Cottrell (Becky); grandchildren, Jeremy Walker (Rachel), Shannon Walker (Crystal), Brandon Cottrell, Charlie Cottrell, Michael Cottrell (Amanda) and Anthony Cottrell (Kimmy); great-grandchildren, Kayla, Gavin, Alyssa, Carla, Tyler, Aiden, Brantley, Paisley and Everlee.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford with the Rev. Mark Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, is assisting the family.

I had the pleasure of working with Marguerite , for many years at Piedmont Label . That was when work was fun,fun and we enjoyed going to work. Such a beautiful person to work with . Rest in peace my dear friend .Prayers for the family 🙏🏽🙏🏽💐
