Melissa Atkinson
Melissa Atkinson, age 54, of Blue Ridge, passed peacefully on the morning of July 25, 2023.
She was known for being kind of heart and sweet of spirit, always willing to help a friend in need.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret “Peggy” Montgomery, father, Michael Montgomery, and beloved uncle, Tommy Doyle of Baltimore MD.
She is survived by her husband, Wilson Atkinson, daughter, Samantha Atkinson, sister, Stephanie Troyer, Brother-in-Law, Jeremiah Troyer, and nephew, Tecumseh Troyer. She had a passion for animals and is also survived by her beloved cat, Sarafina, dog, Bo, and numerous grand-cats and grand-dogs.
A Memorial Service will be held at Colonial Baptist Church in Blue Ridge on July 29, 2023, at 2:00 PM. The Family will receive friends for fellowship one hour prior to the service.
