I had known Mike for most of my life, going back to the late 1970s. He was one of my very few long-term friends, and while we had not been in close contact these past years, he did reach out to me last fall. It was good to catch up and it made me realize how I did miss him. Mike and I went through high school together, got into hijinks together, and even produced a local Cable TV program together in the early 1990s. I will always have those memories and the film of our goofy times, but it will not replace my friend. I will sorely miss him.

Mike was and will always be one of my best friends and my second oldest, having known since 4th grade. He was one of the co-founders of two public access video groups where I got my start and acted in two of our films. He was a WWII buff and never stopped learning. Despite the obstacles he faced in life, Mike was one of the most positive people I've known. While he had his down moments, Mike was quick to laugh and easy to know. The world is a little bit smaller without him.
