Hey Shane! Childhood memories. Across the street up the driveway and into my second living room: the Miller‘s house. Shane come out let’s go down in the woods and build a fort, throw some rocks and cross the log over the creek. Maybe we can take the fishing poles and get lucky with some worms and catch a 3-inch perch! Now that winter is here we can test our throwing arm with a serious snowball schlacht. It’s us, the kids from the bottom of the street versus the kids at the top of the street. We always won the war! Quickly time passes we’re off to whatever we’re off to and we see us only occasionally but we always have a laugh.Your adventures never seem to stop: It’s always good to know the guy working the door at the Stony Badger! Thanks for the beers and the ciggies and the rides to the country. You seem to know more about Bedford back roads than I do, especially the secret places. Your daughter Gwen is a lovely girl who takes care of so many favors for me. She’s got the most watchful eyes and the most observant senses on the street. Never forgets any little adventure. I see a lot of you in her when the conversation flows so easily, laced with laughter and reflection on the life we’ve shared. The childhood memories are the last to go that’s why I’m certain I’ll remember you forever. See you across the creek. Your friend Steven
