Nancy Elizabeth Gunter Chandler

Heaven rejoiced as Nancy Elizabeth (Gunter) Chandler received her angel wings on May 7, 2023.  She was born on November 14, 1946, in Lynchburg, VA to the late Samuel Franklin Gunter and Pocahontas Proffitt Gunter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Leroy Gunter.

Nancy worked for many years at the D&S life Agency. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Yellowstone National Park. She also loved to spend time with her family, reading, beach trips and birthday cake!

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Randy Chandler, daughters, Miki White and husband, Darrell White, II and Jennifer Lyle; granddaughters, Harleigh Elizabeth Lyle and Samantha Elizabeth Phillips and husband, Eli; sister-in-law, Kathy Gunter and special friends, Tim Lyle, Coy Kirby, Ron Wimmer and Chris and Donna Lockliear.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
