Patricia Ann Reed Stier Clarke
Patricia Ann Reed Stier Clarke, 95, of Bedford, Virginia passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022. She was daughter of the late Martin William Reed and Hazel Fern Palmer.
Patricia was born on August 4, 1927, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated from high school in Austin, Minnesota, and much later became a Registered Nurse.
Pat enjoyed many forms of volunteerism, church activities, and hobbies. Among her skills were sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, cooking, baking, and especially home decorating. Pat also golfed and endlessly entertained family and friends in her home. She loved to play cards and was very accomplished in Bridge.
Fortunate to have traveled extensively throughout the United States, one of her more memorable experiences was living in a castle in England for few months. She called one of her homes in Phoenix, Arizona her “dream home” and spent a number of years in the area, before moving to Bedford, Virginia in 2012 to be closer to her daughter Laurie and son-in-law Michael.
She is survived by her four children, Peter (Connie) Stier, Timothy (Cindy) Stier, Alec (Kay) Stier, and Laurie (Michael) Daniel, as well as nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brother Marty Reed; daughter-in-law Susan Stier, and great-grandchildren, Adam Stier and Mercy Maynard.
A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 3pm at Bedford Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Salley officiating.
