Patricia J. Uzsoy
Patricia J. Uzsoy, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022. She was the wife of the late Dr. Namik K. Uzsoy.
She leaves behind her beloved four-legged companion, Sweetie, and was greeted in Heaven by her treasured buddy, Max.
She held many professional positions throughout her life in the medical community. Her heart was centered on service to others, especially during the stressful times of COVID-19. She was a noteworthy nursing educator and administrator, serving as the Dean of School of Nursing for Lynchburg General Hospital. She served on many advisory boards and committees for the Commonwealth of Virginia, including MCV and UVA. She was loved and cherished by many and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery.

She was a wonderful lady she helped me get through LPN nursing school She loved everyone and she had a caring spirit for us all. Prayers and sympathy for the family God-bless

What a beautiful person who contributed to so many lives. Pat was working at Lynchburg General School of Nursing when I went through in the 70's. My sympathy & prayers to the family.

Pat was the nursing director of Lynchburg Hospital School of Nursing when I taught OB Nursing in the 1990s. She was a very caring, empathetic and effective leader. I thoroughly enjoyed being on her faculty. I learned alot from Pat. Her smile was always welcoming. May she rest in peace.
