Paul worked for Mead Corporation for 18 years, and later was the owner and operator of Standard Gauge Engineering. He traveled many miles for new rail construction, where he had a real talent for operating heavy machinery. His favorite piece of equipment to run was his backhoe. His greatest hobby was his passion for hard work, whether at home or on the railroad tracks. Not only was he an avid UVA sports fan but enjoyed fast pitch softball and coaching baseball. While working with the Little League and Connie Mack Leagues were many of his rewarding accomplishments. Most of all, his family was everything.

Condolences & Tributes

Celebrate Paul's life with a short message, photo or video!

June, Greg and Mechelle; My heart hurts and I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. I know he was a great husband and father and inspiration to everyone he met. As a child growing up I always thought he was the one person who always seemed to have it together and someone who I admired greatly. I wished I could be there today to share in your grief and to tell you personally how much Paul meant to me. My sympathies are with you all today and again I'm so sorry for your loss. God Bless you all!
