Ralph Garnett Lambert, Jr.

Ralph Garnett Lambert Jr, 68, of Goode, Virginia went home to be with the LORD on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, peacefully at his residence. Ralph was born February 2, 1954, and was the son of the late Ralph Garnet Lambert Sr and Betty Lou Padgett Lambert. He was also the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kyle L. Padgett and  was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Lambert Everett.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Tina Lambert, who he met while attending Lighthouse Baptist Church in Madison Heights, Virginia. Ralph is also survived by a close cousin’s, Paul K. Padgett of Fremont, California, Joe Trice of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Mike Trice of Charlottesville, Virginia, in addition to many other cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ralph worked at the Central Virginia Training Center for 35 years and would later retire from Walmart. He was an active and faithful member of Rock Pike Baptist Church. The family wishes to thank Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, 320 N Bridge St, Bedford, VA 24523, for their assistance during this time.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 12 p.m. at Rock Pike Baptist Church, 1117 Blackwater Road, Forest, Virginia 24551 with Senior Pastor, John Sines Jr presiding. A fellowship meal will follow at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 503 Wright Shop Road, Madison Heights, Virginia 24572. Mrs. Lambert will receive visitors at her residence at: 8135 Forest Road, Goode, Virginia 24556.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to cover burial expenses in c/o Rock Pike Baptist Church, 1117 Blackwater Road, Forest, Virginia 24551 or online at www.rockpike.org.
