Rhonda Gail Fitzgerald

Rhonda Gail Fitzgerald, 61, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on July 10, 2023.  She was the daughter of the late Odell Fitzgerald, Sr. and Sylvia Fitzgerald.

Rhonda was born on November 6, 1961 in Virginia.  She attended Liberty High School. She became a personal caregiver later in life, including caring for her mother during her last years of life and other members of the Big Island community.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends listening to music and having fun. She lived her life to the fullest.

Rhonda is survived by two sisters, Debra F. Goff of West Virginia and Joanne Rorer (Darrell) of Altavista, Virginia; nieces and nephew, Anitra Fitzgerald-Monroe, Megan Rorer and Damien Goff; and three great nieces and nephews, Abby Miller, Jacob Goff, Micah Monroe and Liam Goff. Rhonda also leaves behind her close friend Sandra and a host of other good friends.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Ricky Nelson Fitzgerald and Early Odell Fitzgerald, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Jack Monroe.

A small memorial service will be planned later in Big Island for friends and family.
