Renee, I may have only met Butch and Joanne a few times back in our college days at SRU, but they both left a loving and lasting impression in my life. Such a wonderful man your Father was! To be in the presence of two people who adored one another as they did was a blessing to witness. May you and your entire family find peace and comfort in all of the memories you hold. You’re all in my thoughts and prayers. Love you, Pam Miller Cook “Spam” 💕

I have the fondest memories of growing up around Mr, Nicklas. Without fail, every time he saw me he said “I see you took your ugly pills today!” He was always kidding and joking and such a pleasure to be around. I’m so sorry for your loss but happy for your great memories.

I remember when Renee and Neil were married, we shared a table with Butch and Joanne. The photographer came over and urged Butch to smile. I looked over at his unflappable face and joked, “What do you mean? He is smiling.” He broke into a big smile and we all laughed together.

Oh the many wonderful memories I have of your dad....he always called us "boys". What are you "boys" doing....going to Conneaut in the back of his truck that he built the bed in...sleeping in the cabin behind your house...and a million more. Loved that man like a father of my own. Annie, Robb,Renee. And Shirley you all have my deepest sympathy. I'm sure he is up there with his front yard neighbors watching over us now...Love to you all.
