Sherman LaQuintas Chambers

May 29, 1997 - September 30, 2022

Sherman LaQuintas Chambers departed this life on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 25, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on May 29, 1997, in Lynchburg, Virginia to Tasha Chambers of Ashburn, VA and Sherman Johnson of Madison Heights, VA.

In addition to his parents, Sherman is survived by his stepfather, Charles Harry; a sister, Charlye-Grace Harry both of Ashburn, VA; three brothers: Shawn Giles of Concord, VA, Brandon Johnson and Landon Johnson both of Madison Heights, VA; grandparents: Reva Vanessa Banks (Clarence) of Lynchburg, VA, Donald L. Chambers of Berryville, VA; and Alberta Johnson of Madison Heights, VA; and great-grandmother, Thelma Tanner of Lynchburg, VA. He was also blessed with two very special friends, Cassandra Wilburn and James Walker. Sherman left to mourn and cherish his memory many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love him dearly.

Sherman could be quiet and shy at times. However, once he got to know you and became comfortable around you, he would talk, talk, talk. He loved playing jokes and would do something to make you laugh. Sherman had a great sense of humor. He was a loving and kindhearted person. Sherman had compassion for anyone who was in need. He thoroughly enjoyed good homecooked meals and would let you know just how much he enjoyed the meal. He would surely make the cook happy with his appetite, especially if the food was good. Now if the meal didn’t turn out so well, Sherman would gently let you know that too! He truly enjoyed gatherings of family and friends in harmonious fellowship. He would get very excited with great anticipation whenever we started planning for family gatherings. Sherman truly loved his family and we truly love him.

As a family, we will learn in time, to cope with his premature departure. None the less, we will never forget Sherman. Rest peacefully Sherman!!! We love you eternally!!!

“Thank GOD for my soul’s resting,
Thank GOD for I’ve been blessed;
Thank GOD for all who loved me,
Praise GOD who loved me best.”
