Shirley Faith Hostetter
Shirley Faith Hostetter born November 4, 1936, went to be with the lord November 25, 2021, at her son’s residence. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse William Sisk, mother, Stella Verna Scott Sisk, and brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Dorothy Sisk. She is survived by her four nephews, who she deeply loved, Robert Sisk (Nancy), Dana Sisk, (Lyn) and Trent Sisk (Melissa).
She is survived by her only child, Matthew Dean Hostetter and wife M. Jill Hostetter. She enjoyed her grandsons, Matthew Dean Hostetter, Jr. and Travis Dean Hostetter. She also has three step-grandchildren, John Michael Gallagher, Misty Meredith Harris (Travis), and Andrew L. Nibecker (Sabrina). She was blessed to enjoy eleven great-grandchildren.
Faith was a loving and patient person, especially with her grandchildren. She was an avid member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She served on the choir and other affiliated church programs. She cherished her church congregation dearly.
She retired from Hills Department Store when the store closed. After several years of retirement, she worked at Lynchburg City Social Services for several years.

A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Bethany United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Thomas and Rev. Phil Showers officiating. A reception will follow the service.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
