Valerie E. Wilson aka Grandma Dynamite, 88, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, godmother, and great-grandmother has passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023.

Born on January 18, 1935 in Budapest, Hungary, she came to America New Years Day 1956, she resided in New Jersey for most of her adult life and most recently resided in Lynchburg, VA with family after her husband passed. She was a devoted member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Valerie is survived by her son, Emery Wilson and wife Breezy; grandchildren, Megan and husband Bryon, Kate and husband Jake, Lacy, Max, Killian, and Mackenzie; great-grandchildren, Winslow, Charlotte (Charlie) and Coast; her partner in crime Andrew lol; and many nephews and nieces in Budapest, Hungary.

She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Howard; her parents, Imre and Anna Prokop; her brothers, Bela Prokop, Tibor Prokop and Zoltan Prokop; her children,  Stephen Wilson and Mary Wilson; and her grandson, Ethan Wilson.

Valerie was a Blue Cross Blue Shield Bookkeeper, who pursued a career as a Licensed Nurse. She later became a private caregiver who eventually retired in  the year 2000.

Valerie’s pride and joy was her family, friends, and church. She was a faithful woman who loved wholeheartedly, always put others first, and gave everything she could. She will be deeply missed but always remembered as a strong, resilient and remarkable woman.  “Hoo-Hah

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
