William Herbert Repass

William Herbert Repass, 69 of Forest died on Sunday, May 23, 2021 He was the devoted love of Debbie Repass for 36 years.

Bill was born on September 29, 1951 in District of Columbia. He was a son of the late Howard Lee Repass and the late Gladys Martin Repass.

Bill retired from Andrews Federal Credit Union as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  He previously worked in the Washington DC area at other financial institutions.

Bill was President of the Silver Hill Lions Club in Maryland where he was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship.  He also was the Treasurer for the Antique Automobile Club of Roanoke, Virginia and the Blue Ridge Region Porsche Club of America.  He served on the board of Lutheran Homes, Inc. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lynchburg, Virginia.

Bill’s love, however, was road racing in his Porsche 944.  He traveled to courses with Debbie as his crew chief for six years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Rohanna and her husband Doug, granddaughters, Katherine and Aubrey Rohanna, a sister, Lynn Posid and husband Steve, a brother, Lee Repass and wife Donna. He also is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, Virginia 24502, with Pastor Dennis Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial contributions to, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg, VA 24503.

Bill and I will always have memories of those times on granddad's farm during summers when we were growing up. Rip, cousin.
