Garland F. Davis, Jr.

Garland Fernando Davis, Jr., of Bedford Virginia, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was born September 26, 1974 to the late Cassandra J. Davis and to Garland Fernando Davis, Sr.

 

Garland was preceded in death by his mother, Cassandra J. Davis; his grandparents, Howard O. and Mary Johnson, George and Josephine Penn; a great-grandmother, Lizzie Quarrels; and a special aunt, Joan Harris.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ursula Davis; five children, Urshina Robinson, Garland F. Davis, III, Jamie Carper, My\"™Asia Davis, Tyekh Davis; and one grandson, Ziyon Davis; his father and step-mother, Garland F. Davis, Sr. and Gail Davis; six sisters, Keisha Davis, Janet McGee (Shelvin), Keirstin Davis, Natasha Lyttle (Anthony), Dana Young, Melinda Pannell (Chris); eight brothers, Marquis Robinson (Tamika), Steven and Stacy Menefee, Christian Richie, Travis Coles, Charlie Anderson (Heather), Jason and Justin Poindexter; a God brother and best friend, Kevin Miller; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

 

A private service was held at 1 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in the Tharp Funeral Home Chapel.  Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 540.586.3443.
