Garrett A. Holman

Garrett Allen Holman, the beloved Son of Don and Bobbie Holman and the little brother of Kristen Holman of Forest, Va. passed away on February 9, 2017. He was born on February 17, 1996, in Lynchburg, Va.  and grew up in Forest, Va. where he graduated from Jefferson Forest High School.

Garrett is survived by his Grandmothers’ Lillian A. Holman of Hertford, N.C. and Carolyn Roark of Grifton N.C.; his Uncle Bill Holman and his little cousin Carter who was like a brother of Boone, N.C.; Uncles and Aunts, Danny and Teresa Manning and Eddy and Debbie Cannon of Winterville, N.C., Kelly Laughinghouse of Greenville N.C.; and the following cousins,  Matt and Dillion Manning, Ashley Cannon, Faith, Joshua, Emily, and Lily Revels.  Garrett is with his Papa Donald A. Holman Sr. of Hertford, N.C. and his Grandfather Bobby Laughinghouse of Ayden, N.C. who preceded him in death.

Garrett grew up playing sports and enjoyed spending time with friends and family in the community. In the summer he was at the Smith Mountain Lake with family Wake boarding and fishing. In the Winter time he loved to Snowboard while working out and playing basketball all year round.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 13, 2017, at Blue Ridge Community Church from 2 to 4 p.m. for visitation then the funeral following visitation at 5 p.m. at Blue Ridge Community Church.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
