Genise Duke Millner

Genise Duke Millner, born on March 20, 1958, in Vermont, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Genise dedicated many years of her professional life to working at Virginia Select Auto, where she served as controller.

In her personal life, Genise was known for her warm heart and many talents. She loved to cross-stitch, cook, and bake, sharing her culinary delights with family and friends. Her passion for traveling and gardening brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her family and friends.

Genise leaves behind her beloved husband, Joseph L. Millner, along with their three children: Brandon, Tiffany, and Jason; her grandchildren: Sarah "Stevie", Caleb, Abigail, Andrew, Reagan, and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by her brothers, Kerry, Kevin, and Keith.

Genise was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Grace Anthony, her stepfather, Gerald, and her grandchild, Aaron.

Though she is greatly missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Relay for Life.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
