George Allen Robertson, 57, of Lynchburg, Va., died Tuesday, April 12, 2016. George was born Tuesday, September 30, 1958 to the late George Lee Robertson and Thelma Jamerson Robertson. He was raised by his devoted grandparents, the late Allen and Mary Jamerson.
He most recently was employed at Richland Hills Exxon as a master technician until his battle with cancer began.
He is survived by his best friend and caregiver, Kimberly Ripley; his children, Faith Justine Robertson, Ian (Kait) Robertson, Mark (Hanh) Abbott; his grandchildren, Jenafer Davis, Summer Robertson, Lillyan Robertson, Elliot Robertson, Liam Robertson, Alexis Abbott, Sophie Elkins, Bailey Elkins, Zachary Abbott, and Madison Abbott; great-grandchildren, Chevelle Davis and Declan Abbott; sisters, Rachel (Bobby) Fleshman and Jane (Chuck) Jordan; nieces, Katie (Ryan) Hockett, Kellie Jordan, Kasey Jordan; ex-wife and good friend, Beth Robertson; friends, Ron (Barbara) Spiggle and Billy Wiley; numerous cousins, family, and friends.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, was predeceased by his niece, Lisa Fleshman.
A memorial service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home’s Lynchburg Chapel Friday, April 15, 2016 at 3 p.m. with Rev. John Boyles officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
