George Aubrey Elliott
George Aubrey Elliott, 67, of Lynchburg, died Friday, June 24, 2011.
Born in Lynchburg, November 8, 1943 he was a son of the late George Joseph Elliott and Hilda Goodman Elliott. Aubrey was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church a former Employee of G.E. and Ericson. He was an avid racer at New London drag strip and surrounding areas.
Aubrey is survived by a sister, Edith Robertson and husband Henry of Forest; a brother, David Benjamin Elliott and wife, Terrie of Forest; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Aubrey was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Lee Cox.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2011 in Shiloh United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:30 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
