George Carl Hlinko, 68 years young, passed away peacefully at his home Monday April 22, 2019 after courageously and patiently fighting for years with the neurodegenerative diseases, progressive supra-nuclear palsy (PSP) and corticobasal degeneration (CBD).
George lives on through his devoted and loving wife, Debra Chiulli Hlinko, daughter Dayna Hlinko and son in-law John Bratton, daughter Kristina Bublitz and son-in law Brian Bublitz, his son Brad Hlinko, his grandchildren Ryker and Barrett Bratton and Kane And Trip Bublitz, as well as his extended family and friends.
George’s larger than life personality matched by the size of this heart will never be forgotten. Even through his terminal illness he continued to touch and educate many people. To the man who could fix and build anything, we know you are building your slice of heaven now.
A special thank you for the overwhelming support from his beloved caregivers, Lindsey, Rachel, Serria, and Stacy, Bedford Centra Hospice, as well as all the family and friends who supported him throughout his darkest days.
A Memorial Service celebrating George’s life will take place at the Hlinko’s home this Saturday, April 27th at 4pm. Donations in honor of George Hlinko can be made by check to the 501©3 non-profit, PSP & CBD Foundation
