George Leo Bill
George Leo Bill, 86, of Lynchburg, VA, died Thursday, July 8, 2010. He was the loving husband of Thelma Bill.
George was born Sunday, August 12, 1923 in Saint Louis, MO, a son of the late George Raymond Bill and Myrtle Ruth Hamilton Bill. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from E G & G where he was a Director of Contracts for 20 years. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Lloyd George Bill and wife, Patricia, of Gettysburg, PA and S. Scott Bill and wife, Lynne, of Hollywood, MD; a daughter, Wylia Holbrooks and husband, Michael, of Brookneal; and eight grand children, Ryan Wesley Bill, Garrett Randall Bill, Ian Bill, Alexandra Bill, Tyler Holbrooks, Adam Holbrooks, Bryan Holbrooks and Michaela Holbrooks.
A Mass of Resurrection will be conducted at St. Thomas Moore on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Mooney officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
