George Edward Moore, Jr.

George Edward Moore, Jr., 60, passed away on December 17, 2024, at VCU Critical Care Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

Born on September 13, 1964, in Lynchburg, Virginia, a son of Marion Haythe Moore and George Edward Moore, Sr. He was a beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather.

George dedicated his life to his family. He was known for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support for those around him.

George is survived by his mother, Marion H. Moore; stepfather, Herman Rosser; wife, Bridget Moore; sons, Antonio (fiancé Tericka Smith) and Devon Moore; daughter, Ne’vaeha Moore; grandsons, Laquan Moore and Antonio Moore, Jr.; sisters, Patricia White and Donna Moore; a devoted niece, Tonyale Booker; and a devoted sister-in-law, Batista Foster, both devoted their time with George while at VCU; A devoted mother in law Deborah Murrell Caines, she devoted her time with George at our home, and a host of other loving family members and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A private memorial service will be held on December 22, 2024.
