Geraldine Jennings Wooldridge Massie, 77, of Goode, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
She was born May 22, 1942 to the late Elizabeth Campbell Jennings and Tinsley Coleman Jennings. She was preceded in death by her beloveds, first husband Richard Leslie Wooldridge and son Richard Leslie Wooldridge II. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Doris Waller, TC Jennings, David Jennings and Carolyn J Quinn. Surviving Gerri is her loving daughter Betty Wooldridge (wife Anne), devoted husband James Massie, sister Becky Simmons (Larry), James’ children Jennifer Burks (Aubrey) and Kevin Massie (Brian), 3 grandchildren (Morgan, Logan, and Jordan), grand-dog Tucker, nieces, nephews and her ‘adopted’ daughters.
For those that knew Gerri, please remember her as the feisty woman tending the fields in her air-conditioned John Deere tractor that Richard bought her long before they were the norm, chasing cows in her Lincoln Town car, bowling with James or laughing with friends and family. Betty especially wants you to remember how great of a mother she was to her.
Gerri’s family will gather at Fort Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum to greet family/friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019. A funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019 in the mausoleum.
