Geraldine Juanita Smallwood Reynolds

Geraldine Juanita “Gerri” Smallwood Reynolds, 90 of Moneta, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2021. She was born on March 27, 1931, in Roanoke, VA. A daughter of the late, Edgar Pearly Smallwood and Ethel Edna Light Smallwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Melvin Reynolds, Sr. daughters Carolyn Diane Reynolds and Brenda Rainbow; Granddaughter, Lisa Carol Rogers and a son-in-law, Peter Henry Leveille.

Gerri was an awesome baker who was known for her famous bread and delightful cakes. She was an avid reader, gardener, helper to so many. She loved her family so much and was always willing to open her doors to anyone in a time of need. She was a nurturer and a foster mother to many folks through the years. She was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.

Gerri was survived by her children, Larry W. Reynolds, Carolyn S. Leveille, Richard M. Reynolds, Jr., Cheree R. Dracolakis and Mark S. Reynolds and his wife, Donna Reynolds; grandchildren, Larry W. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife, Misty Reynolds, Nicole R. Sugnet and her husband, Josh Sugnet, Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds, Marsh G. Rogers, Sara L. Pannell and her husband, Jason Pannell, Kimberly S. Gates and her husband, Mike Gates, Tracie Stallings and her husband, Jeffrey Stallings, Alexander P. Dracolakis and his wife, Amber Dracolakis, Jean Paul M. Dracolakis and Cody Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Eleven Becenti, Amulet Reynolds, Jupiter Reynolds, Samara Sugnet, Rowen Sugnet, Ethan Rogers, Haley Rogers, Ethan Rogers, Haley Rogers, Alexis Pannell, Laurel Pannell, Wesley Cunningham and his wife, Natalie, Warren Stump, Austin Stump, Allison Stallings, Jason Stallings and his wife, Brandi Stallings; great-great-grandchildren, Cadence Cunningham, Camren Cunningham, Charlotte Cunningham, Chase Cunningham, Marabella Grace Cozart and Jayson Lethbridge.

A funeral Service and celebration of Gerri’s life will be conducted at 12:00 noon at Lynn Haven Baptist Church in Vinton on Saturday, December 11, 2021, with Dr. Robert Heatherington officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, December 10, 2021, also at the church.
