Geraldine M. (Gerrie) Scott

Geraldine M. (Gerrie) Scott, 79, of Moneta, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Medical Care Center. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer, now her pains are gone and she has peace.

Born December 16, 1930, she was raised and educated in Toledo, Ohio.

She was predeceased by her parents Elvin C. and Mae C. Myers and a brother, Elvin F. Myers.

She leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Andrew C. Scott and sons Robert M. (Lynn) Scott of Forest and Randall J. Scott of Christiansburg, grandchildren, Johnathan and Carson Scott of Forest and Andrew and Samuel Scott of Roanoke.

Gerrie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and best friend. She belonged and volunteered in many organizations and enjoyed people\"™s company.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 2010, at 12:00 noon in Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford, the family will receive friend\"™s one hour prior.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children\"™s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or a charity of your choice.
