Geraldine Mae Wiles

Geraldine Mae McNeil Wiles, 85, went to her eternal home in Heaven on Sunday, June 8, 2014.
She was the daughter of Jesse Ernest McNeil and Katherine (Kate) Elizabeth Reynolds McNeil.
Geraldine was employed by the Lynchburg Hosiery Mill until she married. Then she devoted herself to being wife, homemaker, and mother of two.
Geraldine was a Christian and a lifelong member of Park View United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed her association with Heritage Baptist Church who’s Pastors, and members visited and prayed for her regularly. She enjoyed reading the Bible, Christian Fiction, and Devotional books. She also enjoyed Christian music-especially the old classic hymns.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Benton C. Wiles of nearly 65 years of marriage.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Maurice Wiles; and her daughter, Marlene Wiles Milstead and her husband Rawley.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home.
A celebration of Geraldine’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, with Pastor Nathan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family request memorial contributions be made to Heritage Baptist Church, 219 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
