Geraldine “Jerry” Thomason Held, 95, of Huddleston, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late A.W. Held. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Humbird (Charles).
Born February 15, 1923 in Galveston, Texas, Jerry was a daughter of the late George Thomason and Leila Thomason. Geraldine enjoyed spending time with her family and creating works of art. She was especially talented at painting.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Berry (Bill), Barbara Beverly, and Carole Held; grand-children, Stephanie Palmer (Mark) and Stephen Berry; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a nephew, Michael Humbird (Valerie).
A memorial service will be held at Staunton Baptist Church at a later date.
